Are You Sure You Want To Read This Blog

There are a lot of running blogs out there; and you should probably go read them. Why? Because this isn’t like most blogs. Most blogs are written by skinny runners for people who want to get skinny or are already skinny, there are even some blogs about heavy people’s goals of, and journey towards, getting skinny.

But, this isn’t like most blogs, I’m a big guy, with no interest in getting skinny. I’m 5’11” with a weight that fluctuates between 215 lbs to 235 lbs (in season and out of season; respectively), and I hope my weight never drops below 210 lbs. I powerlift (PR: bench 425 lbs, squat 565 lbs), play rugby (it’s like football without pads and boring downtime), began training for mixed martial arts (until my son was born), and run (the part that justifies this blog).

So this blog may not be for you. I probably won’t be testing tons of equipment (running companies tend to give freebies to skinny runners), I’m still kind of new at running for the sake of running (about a year), and I’m not that fast. Not to mention, I tend to tangent (note the overuse of parenthesis), I have poor sentence structure, and I’ve been told I have an odd sense of humor. However, if this sound appealing by all means read on.
